Lytham St Annes, June 1, 2008: Talking Tots, the UK’s leading provider of communication classes for toddlers, has announced the launch of its four new franchises, bringing the total number of UK Talking Tots locations to 25.
Talking Tots is a unique pre-school activity group that helps children develop social and communication skills through fun games, activities and rhymes. The company was set up in 2005 by Tracey Park and Lisa Houghton, both experienced paediatric speech and language therapists.
From this month, Talking Tots will launch in Essex, Brighton & Hove and Lewes, West Lothian and Lyme Regis. “We’re delighted that interest in the Talking Tots programme continues to grow despite the economic climate,” says Lisa Houghton, co-founder of Talking Tots. “When we set up Talking Tots in 2005, we had no idea that within three years, we’d be opening our 25th location.”
Amanda Smith, one of the new franchise owners, will be launching Talking Tots in Chelmsford and Maldon this month. “I can’t wait to get started. I looked at a number of franchises before choosing to join Talking Tots, and I loved the content of the classes,” she says. “Running a franchise gives me the freedom to build my own business, with the support of a successful brand behind me.”
Talking Tots currently operates in 25 locations across the UK, and the company is actively recruiting new class leaders nationwide. Franchise owners don’t need formal qualifications, but should be energetic, self-motivated and have experience of working with pre-school children.
