Hi,

I just wondered - If you were searching for an online printing company (so geographical position doesn't really matter), what would you type into google?

Would it be more specific, for example "matt laminated business cards" or "printed flyers".

or

more generic, for example "online printing company"

Any help would be great! In the middle of doing major SEO and PPC campaign, so need to get these keywords right!

I'd keep it simple and go for specific terms. i.e. printed business cards/fliers etc.

Only of that failed would I go to online printers etc.

I'm sure that lots of people have different viewpoints.

Have you tried using Wordtracker to get keywords? I'm also in the middle of doing an SEO campaign and was advised to use that as it tells you how many searches keywords get and will give you lots of alterntives.

The words that you think would be typed to find you business might not be right - there's no point targetting the wrong keywords!

I think Wordtracker is about £29 per month - you can just sign up for one month and I would definately reccommend it if you are serious about your SEO.

You can also use Google adwords keyword researcher - make sure that you have it selected for the right country.

Hope that helps.

if I was searching for an online biz, I'd definately use online in the search term so it would be things specific to the product I wanted like - online printers, online printing, flyers online, business cards online, online stationary printing etc etc

I search for exactly what i want, including the amount e.g 1000 350gsm business cards. Just because a hate having to go through loads of websites to find they dont supply what i want in the amount i need.
