Rob from Matrixx Hosting here.

We've been going since 1997 doing webdesign, SEO and hosting.

I started as a one man band and now we are 5 of us - our main focus is now business level web hosting for UK companies.

My passion is Search Engine Optimisation - I like nothing more than helping the little guy beat the big guys :D

I guess I'll always be searching for help on how to efficiently win customers and keep them!!

Hi Matrixx and welcome to the forum. Nice to hear that someone is sticking up for the little guys, especially in the world of SEO. Too many SEO firms give poor advice to small businesses without care of the consequences. However, your site did not appear to provide much advice on SEO.

Hi Mike - you're right - theres not much on our hosting site about SEO <smile>

It's not my main business and the hosting takes up my focus. But I still love feeling the success of it.

I optimised 5 clients sites last year that returned them over £250k between them.

I still consider myself one of the little guys too :)

That fair enough. I hope that your clients were grateful of the results that you achieved. SEO is a marvellous thing. So many rumours, half truths and absolute rubbish are discussed that many people get lost in it.

The trick is to know your own capabilities and only do what you're capable of achieving!

Niches are great for sales and they're also great for SEO!
