Paul Hi !,
I have been operating now for the last two years as a bespoke I.T. training consultancy. Its a constant roller coaster of trying to get clients - they are like buses - you wait ages and then 3 come wanting you all at the same time !
There is a lot of competition, so you need to market yoursel as much as possible. Use a little and often, as I have found this is the best approach - get yourself mentioned on websites around the world - get some brief brochures sent out to your target companies - use any personal contacts you have to find out if there is any work available that they know about.
Think outside the box ! One method I have used , quite successfully is whenever I make a train jorney, I leaflet the 1st class compartments, as the people in there are normally there because they are fairly senior in businesses and get their travel paid for them !

A good place I have found to join, for contacts and tender opportunities is TrainerBase at www.trainerbase.co.uk

Get a link on my website ! ( Sorry for advertising ! )

Hope all goes well for you, if there is anything I can help with then just email me.

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum. You're based right down the road from me. We are in Coventry and I could practically drive in a straight line to Kenilworth.

Hope that you find the forum useful.

Mike.

I stayed at the De Montfort in Kenworth for 18 months during the week prior to relocating to the Midlands.
