Croatia top for 2009
Croatia is set to become one of the hottest spots for bargain breaks in 2009 – according to one industry source.
Iain Williams, of Williams Holidays based in Bournemouth, claims that the unspoilt countryside and Mediterranean-heat summers coupled to very favourable currency exchange rates, is making Croatia the favoured destination for those wanting a great holiday without breaking the bank!
“Croatia’s currency - the Kuna - isn’t being dented by the Euro/Stirling rates,” said Iain. “This makes for very cost-effective family holidays as transport, food, drink and the general cost of living is far lower than here in the UK. The locals are also very welcoming and really want people to enjoy their country - nothing is a problem for them and they will do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable.”
Iain emphasised that the natural scenery is stunning and offers lots of opportunities for outdoor activities – from exploring the 1,185 islands, journeying along the maze of nature trails, to taking a dip in the crystal-clear seas.
“Croatia is also within easy reach of the UK,” adds Iain. “As it is only a few hours flying time away and is serviced by low cost airlines operating from most of the main and regional airports across the UK. The country also has a terrific choice of accommodation including villas, hotels, apartments and holiday parks, many of which enjoy breathtaking views along dramatic coastlines that boast long, sandy beaches and warm inviting waters. There’s lots to do and something to appeal to all members of the family – whatever their age.”
Iain believes that if would-be holidaymakers thoroughly research all the options available to them in Croatia then he feels certain that there are some very good offers around at the moment and significant savings can be made - but he advocates early booking to be sure of a bargain.
