I've just started an Advertising Agency. We also do IT support. We are based in London, East London to be more precise. Any advice on getting some contracts or getting started alltoghether is more than welcome. Thank You.

Chris,

Presumably you have a background in advertising and some existing contacts. Working with existing contacts is often the best way to start off, they can then provide referals to others.

Let all your contacts know that you have set up your own business and if they need any advertising help you would be happy to have a chat with them.

Then you need to think about how to get 'new' clients. Are you looking at advertising for one specific market or are you providing your advertising service to all areas. If you are going to focus on one specific area then it makes it easier to focus your marketing on that area.

If you havent already i would suggest you make a Business plan, you can find loads of websites that take you through making a plan for free. This will help you find your market. Also what type of avertising do you offer?

Chris,

I would need some more info before i could make suggestions.
The main question has already been asked, what type of advertising agency are you?

Advertising as in online advertising(website creation hosting and support, promotion), logo design, corporate identity, etc.
www.maxltd.net is some example of what we can do. That is my partener's website. The agency's website is not up and running yet.
