I have recently made a site for a local dog rescue charity (http://www.straydogssanctuary.co.uk/ (http://www.straydogssanctuary.co.uk/)) and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the best way for the charity to accept money donations online.
They dont have any credit card processing facilities so I was wondering about using paypal or a similar service.
Has anyone else got any recommendations?

Paypal is likely to be the most cost effective route and its very trusted.
If you wanted to step up a gear and go for a system that can be integrated into your site i'd suggest Protx. Its flexible and reliable from our experience.
That said, there are plenty of other decent services available.
some others worth looking at:
World Pay
Nochex
Data Cash

This website is very good:
http://www.justgiving.co.uk/
They can create an account on that site and direct their donors to it. It is set up for gift aid etc.

Thank you for the info. I will pass the info onto the charity and see which one they would like to go forward with.

I don't know how much you are hoping to raise, but another thought is to contact CAF Charity Aid Foundation and they may be able to help with online dontaions and a Bank Account that is ethical and earns interest.:)
