Hi All:

We have finally launched our web site, it's taken al ong time to pull together, there has been a lot of hard work, some tears and a strong deisre to get it live before Christmas which is what we did.

Would really value constructive feeback.

Items which we are working on is link building, link building, SEO'ing, content and did I mention link building:D

I'm also considering changing the address to a non PO box one, the shop items need a bit of work as there are a few images missing, and the forum needs to get going.

Let me know what you think....

You need to pay to be a member and to post it in the members forum for a website review ;)

Really? that's news to me, when did that 'rule' come into force? I've seen loads of posts on here asking for a view on web sites etc..

They will be removed, it has been this way for ages! One way of getting us to pay for membership!

When you login as a paid member there is a specific website review forum that appears :)

I've had a look (and I'm NOT a paid member - give weber a chance, we can't all afford it!) and it looks good. The only thing I didn't like was the text on the top left on the home page is blurry, but that could be my ancient laptop! Also something my site was criticised for, each page you click on creates another tab, so you end up with multiple tabs, which apparently is bad. It is packed with good information, and I see the forum is already attracting people, which is excellent. I like it, it's easy to navigate, and is clear. Come on everyone, give weber a review, we all have to start somewhere!

Its been like that for ages.

What tends to happen when people post in the normal section, is after quite a few people have spent time and effort replying to it, sift go and move it into the private section.

This often means that (often including the OP) people who are interested, or who have spent time on it are unable to follow the thread without paying.

The OP obviously would have to pay to see what people are saying in private about the site - or even to come back with a answer to any questions. Worse, people may be questioning legalities etc, and the OP would be unaware, and there business name could suffer in private as they are unable to respond to any queries. ~Unless they pay.

In fairness to Gary, it is supposed to be one of the perks of being a full member, "an attraction for paying up" however, there doesn't appear to be many of the supposed perks being adhered to just for people that have paid, so it makes a bit of a mockery of it all really.

lol, the irony is you get more reviews for your site when you don't post it in the review section:rolleyes:

I think its more to do with numbers than irony, there are more potential reviewers when it is visible to all.

Av...It looks nice, but for visitors I would swap out two of those link buildings for content, ie content content content, link building. Remember you can do a lot more good for your site with a small amount of high quality links than hundreds or thousands of low quality general directory/blog spam etc links, and if you don't have the content in place the links will be wasted anyway if there's nothing to look at when peole get there. :)

Thank you for that advice, it's certainly going to happen, I have someone looking at creating content and obtaining good content, (whislt staying within the copyright laws)... She's putting together an article right now:)

The website is clean, simple, and professional looking.

Your layout is simple giving the user the best chance of navigation around the website

The website template is clean unlike others I've seen. Some websites can be in your face, confusing, and generally - horrible looking. Very off putting in my opinion.

Thanks everyone for your feedback, with obesity on the increase perhaps we can give something back to people in the way of good content, meal plans and exercise plans, and help society whilst making a living too.
