I was just reading through this topic and saw plenty of posts about WorldPay.com and PayPal etc but no-one has mentioned 2checkout.com?
I currently use them as my credit card processing company and have done so for a short while, I was wondering if anyone here has any experiences with them? Good or Bad.
I know that they are a US based company, and I do find this a little off putting, but in their defence they always send out the cheques on time. (All be it by Air Mail and in US Dollars!!)
For a while I was using Paysystems.com but these guys have decided not to offer online merchant accounts anymore and had stopped processing my orders, as well as keeping my Holdback fund
What payment processor would you good guys here recommend?
Your views would be welcomed.........

I'm just setting up with a merchant account from Streamline with processing from Protc in a similar industry to yours and I've found them to be very helpful (and cheap too!).

I have just recently signed up for 2checkout and I was a little disapointed.
Before the sign-up process had been processed they had made a mistake so I needed to take a support ticket out. The problem was eventually resolved 4 days later.
The FAQ's are pretty comprehensive but in reality are the only support that they offer..

I must admit I have not had any problems with support requests. When submitted they have so far always come back with a quick reply.
The thing I had the most trouble with at the begining is working out when I was supposed to be paid!!
But I think I am now on top of this!!

I have used them for over 4 years, never had any real issues, ($4-6000 USD per month in sales) payments have only been late once in all that time. Support is slow, around 2 - 3 days is norm, but for any important issues it is possible to get their phone number using google.

We have used Worldpay for years and although IMHO they are 'pricey' they have never paid us late and have a relatively good customer service level.
They are simple to integrate as well.

I think I'm pretty much sold on them as a provider. £28 startup - no ongoing other than 4.5% (ouch) transaction cost (but no additional IMA account to pay for or monthly fee so I'll live with it) and direct intergration to the affilate software I'll be using. A saving of £1k over the first 18 months.
And also email support out of US office hours!

We used 2Checkout for a few weeks, but there a bit limited as to what cards can be accepted.
