We receive a couple of Euro cheques a quarter from Amazon.de and Amazon.fr, so I don't think it's worth us opening a Euro account.

Was just wondering which the best method was of converting three-figure Euro cheques to pound sterling.

Cheers :)

I receive cheques in USD and Euro and just pay them straight into the bank on a separate paying in slip. The bank takes their commission for conversion butr its less agro than openniing a separate bank account for the small number of foreign currency cheques we receive.

Isn't the whole point of eurocheques that you CAN just pay them into a bank account in any EU country??

Yes, you can pay them into non-Euro accounts, but British banks charge hefty fees. If your bank charges you £20 to deposit a €100 cheque, then it will eat into your profits.

That's why I wanted to ask what the cheapest method was to convert a Euro cheque in pounds.
