Unwanted desktop icons

Hi guys,

Any idea of how to get rid of unwanted desktop icons that have been installed onto my pc??

Basically I have run my adware and spyware detroyer software but they havent got rid of them. Plus my firewall wont stop them from getting though.

In the end I have switched to Firefox which is sooooo much better than IE and thats stoped loads of spy stuff getting through but I still cant erase these damn icons.

Any help is appreciated

just right click on the icons and it will show message on screen. When you see delete click on it and there u go :lol:

You need to turn off system restore, run adaware, spybot S&D and then hijack this. you should then be clean and clear.

Hi,

I’m not quite sure what you are referring to as unwanted desktop items,

1) Do you mean shortcuts to other applications, which are installed when you install a new program?

2) Do you mean icons such as Internet Explorer icon, My Computer Icon Etc?

3) Spyware icons?

Also please specify what operating system you are using, it might help solve the issue quicker
