Parking Tickets as VAT Purchases

Hi,

Does anybody know whether I can use parking tickets as a purchases for VAT purposes? The nature of business is repairs/sales at customer's houses which inevitably requires the engineers to park the vans for which they purchase tickets.

Very simple

If the ticket displays a vat number on it then you can claim vat back, if it doesnt you cannot.

You will find that usually most private operators are vat registered eg NCP and most council operators are not.
