Mole End is a small family business, we have two online shops, Mole End Software and IntegratedLabels.co.uk.

I am Jan and I do most things for the companies, I write the code, I design the software, I buy the paper, pack the boxes and send them out. I spend a lot of time on the phone helping with problems or talking about solutions. The rest of the team deal with accounting, marketing and QA.

I am looking forward to receiving some good business tips from this forum.

These are out shops :

www.mole-end.biz - sells plugins Actinic Ecommerce, which is a very popular ecommerce solution, our plugins include automation, multi-user access, batch order processing, marketing solutions and postcode anywhere integration. We write the software and solutions and then sell them online. This part of the business has been running for 2 1/2 years now and is starting to get very busy, which is nice. We also have a library of free plug-ins for Actinic for people on our mailing list, this has things like bar coded invoices, a froogle submission program, lots of useful stuff.

www.integratedlabels.co.uk - this site sells integrated label paper, which is A4 paper with a peel off sticky label. We started this site up about 6 months ago and it is also getting very busy. We write software to use with the paper and give this away for free, we currently have invoices for Actinic Ecommerce and Quickbooks but will expand this range over the next few months, the next one will probably be an OSCommerce invoice.

Regards,

Jan Strassen

Welcome

Selling to a specialist niche that is growing sounds good to me. You just need to make sure all these new internet entrepreneurs know you exist and know what you do!

.... and that is where the marketing guys come in.

All the best

Jan,

Howdy and welcome.

Echo everyone's previous comments. I have only been using this forum for a short period of time but have found it of great use.

Look forward to seeing you posting out and about.

Jan,

Second person to ask me that so it must be working...hoorah

Was just something catchy that I thought would encourage people to engage with me as most people love penguins. Also a good conversational point.

Anyway, I always thought it was a well known fact that Yeti's don't like penguins? :)

Is that were these games (http://www.yetisports.org) come from? :)

Andy, for reasons I shall not go into I have held the domain coldpenguins.co.uk for several years. I thought that you should know this.

Jan, welcome to the forum. Handy little businesses you have there.

Stuart

I thought I would post an update to my original posting (over 3 years ago).

Our current shops (www.mole-end.biz and www.integratedlabels.co.uk) have both grown into sizable businesses. You can now use the same integrated label paper for Actinic, Ebay, Amazon (Pro Merchant & Seller Central), Sage, Quickbooks, Playtrade, osCommerce, 1StopOrders, CubeCart, Invoice2go, BluePark, LiquidShop, MailOrderWorks and RomanCart. We have also worked with quite a few companies customizing their own systems to use the paper. We now have several employees (for both shops) and have opened 2 more shops.

www.jobangles.co.uk
This site sells unusual bracelets and watches.

www.1stoporders.co.uk
This sells order processing software. This is a new development that has evolved from our other software and experience from dealing with and talking to hundreds of companies over the past 5 years. One Stop Order Processing allows you to manage all of your orders from Ebay, Amazon SellerCentral and MarketPlace (Pro Merchant), RomanCart, Playtrade, Mail Order and Telephone orders in the same place.

Jan
