Hello, I live in europe but outside the UK. I will be launching a new ecommerce company registered in london (a ltd company).
The website should be operational in 1 month. I will be selling mainly B2C in the uk but also abroad, i.e. france, germany, spain...

As I am looking for the best option in terms of fast, reliable shipping with reasonnable price, I would like to ask you if you could recommend me the best options available. Also, if you know a good fulfilment company in the UK active in a european scale, for approx 300/600 shipments/month, it would be great as i might decide quickly to outsource the logistics aspect.

Finally, does anybody can help me on the following question:
suppose the company is registered in london, am i allowed to send the goods that i sell from say my house abroad (france), which means that the stock would be physically outside the uk. My feeling is that this option would be ok, but I would like to have the opinion, or the answer of somebody that knows about this subject.

Thanks for your help.

Mike

What weights/sizes are we looking at?

The weight should be aroung 500gr. and the size is approx 15x7x5 cms.
Thanks

With those weights Royal Mail is probably the best option. Packet Post for U.K and Destination Sort for Europe and beyond.

For example 1kg to France is £2.20'ish

The downsides; not tracked, delivery time (not as good as courier) and getting all set up with Royal Mail PPI takes about 3 weeks.

If you scroll down to Royal Mail section, all the relevant links are there.

Make sure you are clear about the delivery times on your website. If you send from France, it will take longer than if you are in the UK and people can be a bit impatient.
Once you use a fulfilment company, of course, it will be a lot better for your business.

If you put fulfilment in the search, you might find a company as this has been asked before.

I didn't know you could set up a Ltd company with a registered office outside the UK? I can understand why you wouldn't set it up in France though, the bureaucracy is a lot worse than here.

Thanks to all for your help. I will finally chose a fulfilment company in the uk to stick to fast delivery times, and they offer me a variety of shipment options including royal mail, and others for international shipment.
