I currently work, in the UK, for the LTD Company I set up one year ago. I have been paying my UK tax and NI libilities diligently. The main client, but not the only, is based in Switzerland. I have decided to move out to Switzerland and work for a Swiss company and will have Swiss tax and insurances deducted at source for this work.
I will continue to charge other swiss clients, for occasional work, I do for them through the UK Ltd company. This will enable me to keep money coming into the company and pay an occasional dividend when there is distrubtable profit after costs. I will cease to draw a salary from the UK Ltd.
The dividend will need to be taxed.. but where should this be paid?

I don't think there is enough information in your post to be able to answer the question. Have a read of sections 1 & 2 of this document. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/pdfs/ir20.pdf

Where are you off to in Switzerland. My wife is Swiss so I know the country very well.

David.

Hi David.

Thanks very much for the very useful doc. Being a Tax noob, I will need to study it closely.
I'm off to Basel which is the centre of the world for my particular industry. (VIP Aircraft) if you ever need an interior for your Boeing 747 or A380 I can sort it for about 130 - 170 million USD.
Have a good xmas.
