Hi All

I was just looking around ebay and saw this site on someones ME Page

In the near future i am looking to start a small niche site and this looked ideal cart wise as its not using oscommerce and looks hand written so I can use css

Any idea how they have intergrated the cart and whats driving it?

Hi Rob,

There is nothing unusual about that shopping site, you can achieve the same effects with most Ecommerce packages.

Quickshop is quite right, its a straight forward shopping cart. OsCommerce is a good cart but I think there are a lot of more advanced carts than OsCommerce around this days, some of them are free as well.

Bear that in mind when you are shopping for your cart. Good luck

I agree - any shopping cart could be utilised to do this site including oscommerce. if you are looking for free ecommerce software for the UK then my favourite is still good old oscmmerce I'm afraid although I do agree their are others out there that are coming along great, especially magento. I just find oscommerce the most adaptable at the moment.

Good Luck with your future site.

Looks like a bog standard site, albeit selling the kind of products that much of the spam I receive is pumping.

So perhaps that was the real intention of posting the URL here ;)

Not at all

Please can you check how long someone has been a member before accusing someone of something

This sort of site can be done quite easily with a number of solutions out there including ours (plug). Nothing too fancy there. Do consider the hosting provider though as we have had quite a few people coming over to us due to un-reliable hosting and with an e-commerce site like this where you are using it all day, you will notice downtime with less reliable hosts.

I agree with everything above - you can achieve something similar (or hopefully, better) with pretty much any of the open-source or template driven carts out there - or semi-bespoke ones such as ours.

Good luck with your venture!
