I need to sell on this season's surplus stock of 4000 swimwear items to make space for our next season delivery.
Are there any companies that can be recommended to buy this sort of stock or websites that I can advertise the job lot to individuals?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Kirsty

There are some wholesale forums out there. Try them. Also, sounds weird, but there are lots of ebay/wholesalers on Money Saving Expert. May be worth a try.

I had a look at eBay first but a lot of the deals even on the wholesale side are for far fewer items, and the ones on there rarely had any bids.
Thanks for the tip on money saving expert - I'll check out their forum.

hello Kirsty,
You could try these - all mentioned in the Sunday Times 'money' section last weekend, as selling surplus and liquidated stock:
Simon Charles Group (www.simoncharles-auctioneers.co.uk (http://www.simoncharles-auctioneers.co.uk))
Self Trading (www.selftrading.co.uk (http://www.selftrading.co.uk))
Megabrokers who i think are on eBay,
and
Stock Auctions (www.stockauctions.com (http://www.stockauctions.com))
hope that helps,
Hugh

Hey Folks,
We just went live with stockends . com, specifically for such needs. It's a free direct marketplace for shifting overstock. Take a look and post your listing. It's really easy and user friendly.
It gives you global reach, and is free. Nothing ventured...
Any problems or questions, drop me a line.

In the back of Drapers they usually have adverts for people that buy stock from cancelled orders, overruns etc.

What is your route to market?
Why dont you sell them yourself - this time of year is great for a sale!

If you can't sell them at the right price I'd recommend setting a site up using a pay as you go software like www dot tigercommerce .co.uk.
Hope this helps.
