I have set up my sports quiz website yoursportsquiz but I am having real trouble trying to promote the site as i just don't have the money to market it to a wider audience. At present the site is only 15% of what i want it to be but i can't take it to the next step until i either get financial backing or someone's expertise in getting the site out to the world.
Help me please!!!!!!

I know nothing about the industry you're in so I may be missing the point, but I really do not understand this website.
I see you have a quiz with a little prize, but it looks as though the primary purpose of your website is to make money through advertising. Whilst that is quite common, you really have to give something to the user of the site. Let's face it, a £10/£5 gambling voucher isn't going to suck in crowds of people. It's not even worth registering on your site.
If you type Coral into Google there are many companies on the right offering between £25 and £100 bets for free. It puts your £5/£10 into perspective.
You need to re-think your position. A low value prize will attract few people, and thus few people will click your ads. Add a juicy prize and people might be more willing to go through the process. To make it worthwhile you need to have a lot of quizzes covering lots of different sporting teams and subjects... and prizes that make it worth it.
I personally would not throw lots of money at this website as I cannot see it catching on.

I agree with the last post.
Also as a Pompey fan, I take one look at your site, see the so called 'big four' and are put off. You need to expand the teams. You may well be a fan of one of the big boys but I am not, and neither are 80% of the country. Don't believe everythng you see on MOTD!
Expand to all prem teams as well as the championship, up your prizes and make your text blurbs more concise and you may earn a few quid.
For promotion, I would target the club messageboards, both official ones and the smaller indie ones. I am a member of a pompey board where we have about 100 members who may be interested IF there were questions about Pompey!

Get in touch with the click programme on the bbc and fire them off an email, if they like your site that lass Kate might show it on her webscape feature. Voila - lot's more visitors!

Thanks for the advice everyone. The problem is i agree with everthing you say. In fact that is how i plan to expand the site but at the moment i can't get the sponsorship. In terms of the prize that is all i can get out of Coral. I would love to have £50/£25 prizes up for grabs but they won't commit to that. In regards to just having just a quiz for the "big 4" i intend to branch out to every premier league club plus other sports but like i said i can only get certain backing from coral so if i had another quiz there wouldn't be any prize on offer. This is why i need financial help or guidance to take the quiz forward
