Hello,

Can anybody give me advice on how long it will be before people start to invest in new companies again please. I have a new business which will be extremely profitable if i could only get someone to invest.

I have my business plan ready along with the financial appendix and a company bios. I also have a 10 year plan which includes 2 other subsidiaries.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Kathryn Lawrence

If it is viable and profitable you will find an investor. How are you going about looking for one?

I have been posting through many different forums and investment sites and have registered with www.fundingpost.com. I have also been finding angel investors via the internet and contacting them directly. (www.vfinance.com) I just don't seem to be having any luck.

My company "Luxury's Finest" has a 5 year financial projection of $3.8 billion minimum.
I say minimum because our lowest amount to be sold is $1,000 at a 16% increase.

Here is a little bit about my company. I do apologize.

I also have this information on our myspace page. www.myspace.com/luxurysfinestinc

Under the heading "What do we have to offer"

We are a Luxury Online Auction that caters to the high end spectrum of the market. Unlike our main competitors we do not charge for you to list your luxury items online and we certainly don't charge for you to re-list your item if it does not sell. This we offer for free.

Our service charge is 2% of the final sale and that is IF and ONLY IF your item sells. There are absolutely no other hidden costs or fees. 2% on the final sale. That's it.

You deserve to have a luxury online auction without having to pay a heavy charge. This we want to give to you.

Auction Categories

The Company accepts the listing, auction, and sale of any of the following items:

* Automobiles and other vehicle with a minimum value of $25,000
* Boats and yachts a minimum value of $1,000,000
* Aircraft a minimum value of $1,000,000
* Art and other cultural items a minimum value of $1,000
* Jewelry and watches a minimum value of $1,000
* Horses with a minimum value of $10,000
* Real Estate with a minimum value of $1,000,000

I am in Florida at the moment, have been for 3 years but i plan to move the business back to the UK. I should be there for christmas and through the beginning of the new year so i am trying to get in touch with any investors that would like to meet.

Thank you for your questions and comments Williams lester.

Why would you possibly have a five year projection of $3.8 billion. Even if you thought it correct, you would be better served pitching lower and then outperforming, rather than pitching somewhere that no-one would believe and putting them off at the outset.

Also, for something of that magnitude, why is it 3.8 billion and not 3bn or 4bn? In fact if it is going from zero to that much in five years why not suffice with "over a billion" or "many billions". If you are looking at an annual growth rate then only a tiny tweak will change the outcome from 500m to 10bn, so you would need to be incredibly aware of your market and prospects to narrow it down to 3.8bn.

Finally, the reason there is nothing in the market for this sort of auction, is because there is no market. Buyers are not going to commit to that size of purchase without due diligence, test rides, days of negotiation and conversation, not to mention being taken out to dinner and plied with champagne. Even the rare times that ebay covers property sales it is more by way of advertising than a binding auction - it just isnt sensible at much more than single digit thousands, especially since the rate of default increases massively and the "goodwill" of your account is much less leverage. Also, the sort of people who own yachts worth over $1m are not going to be logging onto the internet to sell them, they will be ringing up their nearest rolex clad armani suit wearing broker who can directly contact the potential buyers (not some spotty kid in a bedsit).

PS - anyone suggested to Mike Ashley that he should put Newcastle Utd on ebay?
