Hi Trevor

Welcome to the forum

Just wondering really where the name came from if you are now settingup a small New York office.

The name may be holding you back in the UK - why would someone in the UK deal with a company that appears to be based in the UK? People might also feel you are trying to make yourselves appear larger than you really are - and may resent it.

Just some thoughts.

Regards

Hi,

I agree with gi about the name. There seems to be a lot of companies offerings telecoms services of one sort or another and frankly I am confused about the different offerings and guess I am looking for something to make any one supplier stand out over another.

Your poll is interesting if in only what you asked. What is your view/experience of what is most important to most of your customers? Demonstrating your knowledge/experience is probably the best way to differentiate.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for your feedback, with regards to the company name, i wanted something that stands out, if you were to see our stationary you will see what i mean, (i dont mean flashy but our logo is very good and unique) the logo on the website doesn't do it justice, in terms of holding us back (as mentioned by gj) i dont think so, our customers do not deal with us because of our name, i beleive its the level of service.

I agree there are a lot of telecoms companies, i would say what makes us stand out from the rest is the fact that i maybe the MD, but i was an engineer for many years before, as an engineer i won awards for outstanding customer service, i am able to deal with customers on al levels, customers feel very confident when dealing with us as they know that i am not just a salesman that can tell them what our products can do for them, i can actually show them, and explain it technically if they require, i have the ability to explain the technical side in a user friendly way to customers that know nothing.

Most of our business is recomendations. over the next few months we are looking at some advertising, as i would like to expand the business.

from my experience I would say the most important thing to a customer is having the right product and solution, back when i was an engineer the most annoying thing for engineers and customers was the salesman selling them a product or solution telling them that it would do this and that, when it came to installing the product or service the customer would ask about something and we would have to say that that piece of equipment or service can not do that, it then turmed out that the salesman said it could do it to get the sale.

I dont think price is always the deciding factor, we are not the cheapest, but we are also not the dearest, but we do offer exceptionally outstanding service, as an ex engineer i had very high standards, and expect the same from my employees.

I find the best way to deal with any customer is to think how you would like to be treated and the level of service you would like, and expect when paying for a product or service.

I hope this has answered a few questions, from your message was there a product or service you are looking for?

Regards

Trevor
