Chamber of Commerce

What are the views on the various regional Chambers of Commerce? Are they worth joining? They seem quite reasonable for a years membership.

You get out what you put in. We put very little in and get very little out yet we belong to one of the countries top Chambers. It's like everything else, being a member and doing nothing with your membership will gain you nothing.

Now lets hear from those that put in and get out :)

If you are North West then you need to join the countrys biggest chamber .. that being Manchester or Greater Manchester, brilliant fun! I get the chance to network in just about every large town in and around Manchester, play golf as well ... that and a good support in Manchester Solutions behind them, so yes, well worth joining me thinks!

Exactly right.

Some chambers are better than others. Some literally are a bunch of old farts deciding how the chop the town up between them (as they probably own the town)

Some are very active - and pro the area they are based.

But.. as Simon says... You get out what you put in. Like the BNI philosphy... Givers Gain...
