Hello All,

I hate marketing! What I really like doing is sitting in front of a computer and designing websites.
Anyway, this is a long overdue attempt at actually letting people know what I have to offer:

Certified Macromedia Developer
PHP Programmer
MySQL database fan

I've designed web sites for a variety of clients eg Liverpool John Moores, Travel Agents and Tour Operators.

I'm pretty cheap as I'm trying to expand my portfolio. I hope one day to have a holiday villa in Spain and spend the winter there designing sites using my laptop and looking up occasionally to take in an uninterrupted view of the mediterranean.

If you have any questions about databases then fire away. I just swallowed an enormous book on MySQL.

Hi Phil, welcome aboard... if you're looking for work, you might like to take a look at this post (http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1677) I did the other day.

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum.

No doubt your skills are highly marketable but I would caution you against expressing your dislike of marketing so much as many of your potential clients will see a web site as a key part of their marketing strategy. (I acknowledge though that many companies mix marketing and transactional websites up to much and end up confusing everyone.)

Whilst you may not like marketing, this does not mean, of course, that you do not appreciate it and have knowledge of what works well and what does not on a web site in this context - from a marketing point of view, you wouldn't want to give people the wrong idea now would you?

Good luck to you.

Stuart

Hi. If you're familiar to PHP then you may be able to help me. I currently have www.devilwear.co.uk running but want to incorporate this with oscommerce. I have installed the creloaded version of this which comes with many contributions pre installed that I need like the affiliate program etc. You can see what I have done so far at www.devilwear.co.uk/store1/catalog
Anyway, I can't make the site go live until I install one more contribution and that's the one that allows me to take cvv numbers, issue numbers and start dates. I've asked around but have not had anyone able to help me.
If you could help me with that then I'll be most grateful and may even ask you for help with designing a template for oscommerce if you can do that?

Look forward to your reply.
