They were re-decorating my bank the other day; You know, stripping wallpaper and the like, and as Im getting desparate for work i have taken to putting adverts up allover the place like chip shop post office walls etcetera so why not my bank as i stared at a blank wall-or as is see it a useful bulletin board -I wondered why its going begging. As i'm a loyal customer of theirs and they need me to do well right? Surely they'd love me to make use of that space
So lets all ask the banks to let us stick our business cards up on their walls certainly when there's nothing else doing for a few days- So why don't all of us pressure our business managers to press for a space for us 'important customers' to have a business card-After all...for goodness sake! there are actual people stood there with actual money in their pockets!Trapped in a queue with nothing better to think about than hiring me and my wonderful landscaping services!! -or you?

I think the bank want you to look at their adverts whilst you're in the queue.
Incidentally one of the last policies the bank were trying to introduce before I left was on the same theme - they wanted the customer service officers to approach people in the queue and get them talking about their mortgage/savings/credit cards etc with a view to selling to them. Talk about lack of privacy.

Good point but they should give us a bit back they truly need to help us now before they can flog us more of their stuff
Like the lack of privacy point ! That's a problem all over the place-
I like the way these type of places shout through the glass at you; asking for your date of birth, postcode national insurance number address and everything and then expect you to shout it back-

Hi,
Who do you bank with?! Our bank doesn't seem to want to help us.. We had a contract worth £200K and they wouldn't lend us any money even on the back of this, plus the usual business plan etc..
We sourced the cash elsewhere, but still there's no willingness to help us further, even though we have large sums of money going through our account.
Ask them to do something like put our business card up and/or promote our business????? NOT A CAT IN HELL'S CHANCE! :D
Good luck with it though. I'd be interested to see if you can pull it off.

Ask them; you have nothing to lose.
Our Bank has a flat screen TV shoing Sky News on silent with subtitles which is quite nice to watch while waiting in the queue.
