You probably won't be able to help me, I would love a chance to work from home online. The reason I can't go out to work is that I suffer from blackouts and suffer from constant pain. However, there isn't any reason why I can't work around my disability because I do have my own secure computer at home, I am connectable, so a potential employer could keep in contact with me.

There is the technology out there which can make this work, and I would sign any confidentiality agreement you would like me to. All I need is a chance to prove myself.

There are many benefits to employing people like myself, it only needs a company to open their eyes to the possibilites.

Don't give up before you have even started! Have a look at this site for ideas - www.enterprisenation.com . It's a site focused on businesses started from home. Good Luck.

Hi Petrena

I am sorry to hear about your health issues. Those of us that have good health take it for granted way too much..

I dont have anything for you unfortunately, although I will certainly keep you in mind for the future. If you would like to PM me an email address, I will keep it on file.

I dont know how Internet/Tech savvy you are? But have you thought about setting up your own business, perhaps affiliate marketing? You would need to learn how to design an implement your own website and optimise it, but it is the kind of thing you could do a bit a day, for example.

I hope that helps..

Do you have any particular skills Petrena?

There are lots of ways to work from home that can fit around disabilities - and if you run your own business you can balance things better than if employed by someone else.

Yes I do have alot of skills which I can use, infact there isnn't much about Microsoft Office Professional I don't know. Then there are my internet skills, which are very good and through my own experience, there isn't much I don't know about the workings of my computer either. I do keep upto date with the latest technology.

There are many companies out there that have home based staff especially within the IT, Telemarketing and Travel Trade.

Take a look at the following companies they might enable people to work from home:-

Smoothhound (travel industry directories)
Queensborough Group (travel industry directories)
Travel Councellors - Bolton (home based travel agents)

I certainly know that Travel Councellors have home based staff as for the other companies I'm not sure but its worth a call.

Good Luck

Hi Petrena,

IT & Web skills are in demand. There are many people already earning an income from doing this working from home. There are websites where potential employers 'auction' work/projects for self-employed workers.
Have you considered the following:
