How many do you guys get?

Been keeping an eye on my google analytics.

For the period from 12 Nov - 3rd Dec i've had 301 hits, 96 of those from here.

How do I get that number up?

I'm having my site re-done at the mo ... but it's getting people to my site.

I have adverts all over the place on directories and sites like bt tradespace etc. I have a facebook group and a wordpress page.

Of those 301, how many left without clicking? Of those that clicked on something, where did they go, how long did they stay, where did they leave?

I have almost the same problem. Apparently, my site is riddled with w3c errors and bad HTML making it difficult for robots to find me!! I'm having my site redesigned professionally and am having some basic SEO work done. I'm told this, done properly, should help a lot. I was offered Google Adword, but this could be expensive and not very productive, so I'm hoping that a new site, which is 4.01 compliant will do the job!!

Average time on site is 1.15 mins

Most visited in order is Hairpins, Tiaras and then necklaces.

No orders to date. :|

I agree. If it's not harming the site at all, then it's an additional opportunity. Okay, you may only get a couple of clicks a year out of it but it's a couple more than you would have had otherwise:)

Crystal, have you thought about posting within the ecommerce section?

I agree, and I've tried to spread myself as widely as possible. Like you say, it can't do any harm, just don't believe the hype that goes with their publicity!!

How old is the site? if only a month or two then you need to work hard on seo and wait at least 4-6 months to see some steady traffic.

Also i am not liking the current site, i see you said you are having it re-done though.

Time on site and page views are ok but could be better. You would hope that people will go to a tiara page and scroll through the designs but they aren't, this is where you need to begin analysing.

Maybe people aren't ordering becuase we aren't making the call to action stronger. How about I change the font size and colour to make your contact details stand out a bit more.

The other thing to think about is the time of year. It's not exactly wedding season so people could be bookmarking ready to order in springtime.

The book marking is a probable.

I wouldn't worry about fiddling with the site at the mo Graham. Kay has been working on our site and we will hopefully have a 'newer' version to pop up soon enough. :D
