Services from an umbrella company for IT contractors

I am starting an umbrella company for IT contractors. Many of these companies all sorts of "benefits", but I am not convinced that they really make any difference and could just be being used to make the service seem better tah it really is.

I would appreciate feedback on the key factors from any contractors out there

I think you're right to try to find a different way of approaching umbrella companies, however you should also keep one eye on the next budget, as I'm sure there will be even more changes to the law which may affect their operation.

As and ex IT contractor, I would say how much they could save you in tax which doesn't appear in your poll.

I'd agree with that, with the legislation changes what benefits do they really offer?
