hi,
i am and have for some time been looking forward to setting up a rental business. i hope that over the years i will be able to specialise in rental of property, electronics et. but first things first. i am looking to start up the business renting out for a fee houshold items such as tv's camcorders washing machines etc. my business is mainly aimed at those people who are either:
(1) looking to be able to try out a product in their hoome for a number of weeks before purchasing it
(2) persons looking to add colour and impressions to their house for ie the visit of their girlfriends or boyfriends parents, by renting a proudct for short term but powerfull benefits.

please could people help me decide whether this can be a profitable niche and whether people would seriuosly consider this street and internet venture.

thanks in advance

I think it depends on how you market it. Especially the idea of getting things in for the girlfriend etc! If you do it right I think you could be onto a winner, but you do need to research it and get your marketing right. WHo EXACTLY is going to buy? and how EXACTLY are you going to let them know you exist?

Are you city based? because I think it might work better in a city / large town. Also think about people selling houses, its becoming popular to "dress" them prior to sale these days.

Best of luck
