Hi
My brother and I started a junior sports Website in 1999 and we've managed to get to the point where we have about 100,000 unique users visiting us over the year and they are making 2 million hits a month. We have over 10,000 subscribers to our monthly newsletter and on average we are getting 20 new subscribers a day.
These are all sporty kids and families and as they have become a loyal following they've spread the word, linked their Websites to ours and this has pushed us up the search engine rankings so that now we rank in the top ten with google, Yahoo and AOL when people look for "Junior Sports" "Kids Sports" or similar.
We really offer two basic services to businesses, we can either offer advertising opportunities and PR campaigns to give you access to our target market, or we can sell your goods and services on a commission basis through our online shop or by catalogue distribution.
We've taken this route because affilliate schemes don't work, people have become immune to banner advertising, and it's much better to target a specific market with a specific message.
