Just want to check that under the DSR, a customer who orders goods worth £14 paying £7 signed for international postage on top, and then returns the item, is entitled to a refund of the £7? Leaving me at -£7 plus card processing fees? DSR apply to the whole of the EU don't they?

What's even worse in this case is that she is trying to make out a case for misdescription by alleging the colour of the item is misdescribed (which I am firmly refuting) in the hope that she will get her return postage refunded too (which she won't).

This is just so ridiculous (to return such a low value perfectly decent item from abroad without a valid reason which is going to cost her postage too) that I am wondering whether it is a trick of some kind by some Consumer organisation?

The customer is entitled to a refund of the cost and the cost of the outgoing p&p. You are not required to pay the return Postage costs.

It is probably someone who is trying to get you to say "you may as well keep it, as it's going to cost me as much to get it back".

You're right. It will cost me £7.50 to get it back and only £7.25 to let her keep it. That's crazy. There's no way I will give in!
