Hi guys :)
I was just wondering if there is any such thing as an online payment system (google checkout etc...) available where you don't have to have a Merchant Account (with a bank etc...) to use it?
Thank you
Matt

No, you don't need a merchant account for Google. I'd recommend them over any of the others mentioned...

PayOffline is a pretty cool concept (in theory), it's supported by the Alliance & Leicester (for what that's worth), allowing customers to make internet purchases and pay with cash or debit cards at 35,000 'hight street' outlets (Post offices or PayZones (Newagents, etc)). We changed to it from an 'invoice & cheque' option, but the reality is a lot of time wasters make orders using it which are never fulfilled (there is nothing stopping an 8 year old ordering, and therefore reducing your stock until expiry of the invoice, which can run between 7 and 30 days). Therefore, while it's maybe a good alternative payment option, it's certainly not worth considering as a 'main'.
