Do you have a shopping cart or single item sale?

Add to cart! This then gives the buyer the option to add more items to the cart before they pay!

Yes I know buy now also allows that but usually if one clicks Buy Now it takes them to the payment page.

The Add To Cart should just let them add the itwm and then carry on shopping! :)

Just my opinion!

Cheers

Amazon.co.uk: Add to Shopping Basket.

Amazon.com: Add to Shopping Cart.

Amazon.de: In den Einkaufswagen (In the Shopping Trolley).

I'll bet these were tested to death to make sure.

Amazon.de: In den Einkaufswagen (In the Shopping Trolley).

Lmao, nice one. I'd agree though, target what you're saying towards your consumer!

"BUY NOW" OR "ADD TO CART"Create buttons for both "add to basket" and "add to trolley". Then use split testing to work out which one works well for your site.

Depends on what you sell really. You may get some ideas from other websites:

amazon.co.uk
direct.tesco.com
hmv.com
topshop.com
