Hi All
As far as i know it is restricted on ebay to write the website of your shop in you rlistings...
But facing lots of others writing it down and most of those are power sellers such as
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mens-AQUASCUTUM-S-S-SHIRT-BLUE-RRP-70-SMALL_W0QQitemZ260301783036QQihZ016QQcategoryZ1059 QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
has anyone got any idea on that? Has ebay changed the rules ? Or is it like "do it as soon as someone tells you not to" situiation ?
Thanks

you can have it in your about me page but that is it. If you are competing against others doing this in their listings it is perfectly in your rights to report them meaning their listings will be taken off.

Contact ebay and make a complaint about and they will be taken off.
As an aside, how on earth do ebayers such as the one mentioned get to be power sellers with fantastic images such as this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260293749137&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=260301783036&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m184&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%252BSS%26itu% 3DISS%252BUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4 ?

So as soon as noone compalints, you can have the address anywhere you like...

well yes, or an ebay member of staff discovers this. I wouldn't recommend it personally can cost you quite a bit but you have to weigh it up yourself.

I was reported for having my link (with descriptive text) on listings and it was removed and I lost all my listings without having them backed up and it took me ages to reload.
It also doesn't matter if it's a real link or just text put into a picture. I put a link in a custom box in my shop and had no such problems as you can't be reported for that.
eBay are generally ********s and they have a monopoly so they can do whatever they please and keep certain people happy.

What do you mean by custom box?

What do you mean by custom box?
In your eBay shop settings (where you can change colours etc) there will be options to add custom boxes such as a box for e-mail newsletter, featured items and a one where you can add anything into it like HTML so therefore you could build a text link here.
I would show you an example but I closed my eBay shop. I hope this is understandable as I can't remember exactly how to do it.

I've just had an ebay listing template built for me and it has come with a link built into the template.
I didn't think this would be allowed so was quite surprised it was there.
I'll try and find the custom box ta.
