Hello! I am a new to the forum and hoping someone can point me in the right direction for what to do next to integrate our existing shopping cart with quickbooks accounts so that we don't have to spend ages keying orders in!!
Also if poss I would welcome some feedback on usability of our site morehandles.co.uk.....

I never got my hands dirty on quickbooks but isn't your backend gives you the flexibility of managing things like sales reports.. how much products sold? etc.

morehandles.co.uk looks very much nice. Its true for everysite that the first impression matters the most.. but i would say for ecommerce shopping cart sites.. all that matters is the first impression and your site leaves a good one. BUT.. your url structure isn't search engine friendly.. infact i should say.. its ugly.

What cart are you using? off the shelf or bespoke?

Zencart has a quickbooks addon, and is well supported.

Several of the main open source carts have addons too, :)

Thank you. Our cart is bespoke as far as I know. I am waiting for our web developer to let me know what they suggest but I like to do a bit of fact finding myself in the meantime. so thanks for the info on zencart etc I will look at that.
I have previously steered away from the off the shelf carts as I wanted our site to look different to most out there.... maybe i've just made it more complicated for myself.

The way your shop looks shouldnt be dictated by the cart you use, but by the creativity of your designer.

Take my site www.reptileretail.co.uk for example, I think it looks pretty good and it uses an open source shopping cart :)

X-cart has a good quick books plugin also.
