Hi Everyone,
We've just won a contract with Liverpool Vision to provide business coaching support to young entrepreneurs in Liverpool aged 18-30. We can work with anyone who is just starting to develop their ideas, to those who are more established.
If you know of anyone who would be interested in this support, please can do email our local business coach - Michael VJ Jones at michael@stridingout.co.uk
Best Wishes

Hello! working with young people is classed as positive action. it's the same approach that applies to initiatives that works with women, bme groups, older age groups etc.

I'm 39 and need as much help as the next kid along :)
In my industry sexy women are under-represented, yet if I initiated a policy of hiring them in preference to the usual scruffy geeks we tend to be then I'm not entirely certain it would be seen as positive action. And yes, I am a little cynical about many forms of positive action, having already been bitten on the bum by a grants system in Liverpool that meant our competitors either charged 40% less, or made 66% more profit. Very difficult to deal with that one.
Similarly, one of our biggest competitors is run by a 29yr old. They have more money, more staff and shinier offices than we do but they qualify for this new initiative where we can't.
But, we still build the best featured, most reliable and strongest websites around - so we're blooming nicely :)
