OK it happened, which in Norfolk is classed as a success!

After months of threatening to do a meet up it finally happened in a bar on the riverside complex. We pretty much had the place to ourselves.

It was a totally informal affair and we talked a bit about our respective business interests and got to know each other a bit better.

We exchanged lots of ideas and made sweeping statements such as 'marketing companies can't market themselves and communication companies can't communicate' and lots more of the same putting the business world to rights :).

More importantly we all thought that it was worthwhile to meet and that from small acorns big oaks grow and so agreed that if possible we would continue to meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month (tbc) so people have lots of notice for the next one.

So Norfolk UKBFers , don't be shy now, we've done the awkward first one now you can all come along :)

'We' was: Ozbon (aka Alex), Mintyblu (aka Jo) & myself (Gary).

Hope to see many more at the next meet up. And people from other counties / regions I encourage you to organise your own informal meet ups/networks.

Well done all!

We seem to have had quite a few small business from the Norwich area join our site over the past few days. Is this coincidence?

Don't think so?

Certainly last night we discussed how having the regional forums has helped in highlighting businesses from certain areas that previously may of got watered down.

It certainly was good to meet up and put a face to a name or two!

I may not be able to make November's meet, as it'll also be my birthday, so I suspect the other half may be making plans... All the same, I plan to attend as many of the meets as possible - as we said at the time, it's good to make the connections and form a local group of contacts!

If anyone is interested in meeting up at The Antidote Network (http://www.theantidotenetwork.co.uk/Next-Event), I am usually there along with a few other notable networkers in the area, planning on being there this Wednesday coming providing I survive breakfast first.
