can anyone please help. Lets say a company is put into administration, is then liquidated so then what happens to its domain names? Are they now up for grabs? Only after doing a whois search it returns the results of still being registered to the old company at its previous address, even though the company ceases to exist

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance:)

Im assuming you would need to contact the owner of the domain or wait for it to expire. there is also places online that you can use so they will contact the domain owner and offer them your best price etc but they cost hope this helps a little although there aint much really i can advise.

If you can find out the administrator of the liquidation of company, you should be able to make an offer. You may need to guide them (the administrators) through the administration of a domain name transfer.

That administrator has a legal title and I'd go to the legal section of this site to ask the question if I were you.
