We have a weekly experience that customers are not going through with the purchase one they have been redirected to protx for payment. Anyone have any ideas why this is?

Thanks!

Have you branded or customised your Protx payment page at all? Some might get put off if they see the default Protx page although we never found it an issue at all tbh.

Hi Georgl,

agree with quickshop on this one... we've a number of ecommerce clients using protx (and indeed many other Payment Service Providers)... It's easy to see that those with "branded" payment pages (especially those where we, or they, have taken the time to actually "design" the page - not just stick a logo at the top of the page) perform far better than those with just the default....

You may want to consider switching to VSP Direct as this would allow you to take the payment on site.

It does increase your security risk if not coded correctly though and you do need to have an understanding of how the Protx system makes authorisations.

The upside is it will most likely reduce the dropped orders through an increase in customer confidence.

I was under the impression you could still use Protx onsite given the correct account type...? (and knowledge of course)

VSP Direct is available as an option to all Protx users as is VSP Form and VSP Server. You do need to request that the Direct method is activated by Protx though and of course adjust your site coding to use the service as you will need to act on the responses returned by Protx.
