During the last few months ive come across ecommerce stores which do very well in the USA using Yahoo stores
Any idea what you would say was the closest to a UK version as yahoo stores dont do the Uk, as far as im aware
Cheers

Hi Rob,
There are literally thousands of hosted Ecommerce services to choose from in the UK, including our own.
But like all of our competitors, as much as we like to promote the SEO-friendliness and good useability of our service, the Ecommerce service you use is only a small part of making an online retail business work.
The success of those using Yahoo stores in the US will be down to how the shop owners run their business, what products they sell, their marketing and the service they provide to their customers.

Perhaps the closest for comparison, as in a hosted managed ecommerce service offered by a big search engine/portal company, is lycos eshops (http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=49277).
But there are quite a few choices for UK companies wanting a hosted managed ecommerce service (just google (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=hosted+ecommerce+service+uk&btnG=Search&meta=cr%3DcountryUK%7CcountryGB) for them), just like there are for US companies too, and yahoo and lycos are just one of many of these choices.
