Does anyone happen to have a standard 'Data protection policy' that I could adapt for our needs, as I'm not sure where to start!
We only have about 10 employees, but use around 6-10 contractors and have HUGE databases of information that occasionally we need to extract from and send around, or have spreadsheets on our systems.
In view of all the high-profile data-losses recently, we'd like to cover our backs (eg for the contractors - make sure their laptops are password secure, password protect all spreadhseets and inform of passwords by other routes). I'm not sure how 'legal' a policy has to be, and have just been asked to look into it - so after being a lurker for quite a while, I thought this may be the perfect opportunity for me to venture into the UKBF world!
