View Full Version : New Design - What do you think
Bespoke Car Design

Our designer has come up with a design which is like a few other cars on the market but we will be producing it for around £10,000 - £13,000 unlike others around 35k;)
So what do you think of the design. We will be using the Honda Integra Engine running around 300bhp.
We would welcome any comments from you guys. We are based in the west midlands so thought we would post in this section

I like!
Being a car enthusiast I've always liked the look of the Ariel Atom and the Wrightspeed X1 spinoff.. but one with similar looks at a much lower pricetag is very interesting :)

Really like the look of that - and the price makes it even more attractive - if you can actually achieve a quality product for near that price, then keep me posted about developments.
There maybe some way we can help/do business - we have access to some large sections of the petrolhead and/or high net worth population.
Good luck.

The price is easy to achieve. Most companies add on design time etc to a car. But at the end of the day it needs to be designed and why should the paying customer have to foot that bill.
We want to offer our service without the silly pricing

"The price is easy to achieve"
Im surprised at that comment as my husband has recently built an AC Cobra replica and parts alone (excluding the body and chasis) are in the region of that price..

All I can do is oooh and aaaah....you guys are really good!
When I was a kid my dad used to buy this little magazine filled with 'kit cars'...though they didn't look nearly as solid as that design.

The costs of parts vary for what you do. AC Cobra parts will always be expensive. And our chassis etc is made in house. So the price is cheaper. I can always charge alot more if you want lol.

Beatiful looking cars. Are the photographs scaled models of them or actual production versions? Being quite small it's difficult to tell.
The reason I ask is if these are production versions I think you should have some photographs taken on the road in inspiring country settings. The showroom style views look great, but I think people would be able to aspire to them more by showing them being driven.
Even better, consider having a video made of them being driven so the viewer can not just see them but hear them roar too!
All the best to you with these cars - they are fab.

I thought they probably were but it was difficult to be sure from the the photos. How long will they take to produce?

Hi Karen,
I have made a lot of improvements to the chassis and suspension etc...so it now handles perfect in the dry!
My car only passed the SVA last April and I have covered approx 2,000 miles but would have been more, is our summer weather was better:rolleyes:
The power from a v8 is more torque then BHP if you go to santa pod they are only interested in torque:cool:
Has Ben driven a Cobra before?
My wife loves the Cobra but hates the brutal acceleration!
Here is a link to my garage: http://www.cobraclub.com/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/2012
Is Ben a member of the Cobra Forum?

That looks pretty cool... is it a ground up design/build? Would there be a kit option like the Caterhams?
