View Full Version : Should I customise header/footer on 3rd party payment page?

When I sell products from my website, customers start with selecting the item, move on to the shopping cart (my own, no 3rd party), and finally after selecting "proceed to checkout" they are taken to a 3rd party for payment by credit/debit card.

At the moment, the pages by this 3rd party are quite minimalistic... white background, and just the necessary form fields and payment info. After payment, customers are sent back to a "successful payment" page on my own website.

Regarding these minimalistic payment pages... I have the option to add my own header & footer. I could make it look like part of my website, with only the address field and some of the info on the pages revealing that the pages are in fact not hosted by myself.

- Should I keep it as it is, in order to display without doubt that they have now arrived at a 3rd party payment page?
- Should I add a logo and maybe a couple of other things to the header/footer, in order to show that they are paying for my products, but still, they are on a 3rd party website.
- Should I try to make it look as if it was part of my website as much as possible?

I really have no idea what customers might prefer, so any input is valuable...
