Use the keyword tool here:
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal#
it gives pretty sensible results under keywords:
avedesk widgets
buy widget
buy widgets
desktop widgets
desktopx widgets
kapsules widgets
online widget
rss widgets
weather widgets
widgets for sale

If you want to research your own keywords you can ask friends, and contacts to use the keywords and phrases they would use in this tool http://www.seedkeywords.com/ you setup a quaestion like what words or phrases would you use to search the internet for widgetrs and they add them and you get a list, I found it very useful.

There are a number of tools already mentioned here. Personally we use the Google Keyword Tool as it integrates well with AdWords.
Don't forget to check for long tail keywords as well as these are easier (and cheaper!) to optimize for.
