Hi Adrian,

Your home page photo is stunning! Had a quick look through the site and it looks good - I can easily understand what you do.

I like the shade of green you have for the background on the right of the page, but was a bit disoriented about the fade to white on the left of background.

Your list of clients is impressive...do you think any would agree to reciprocal links with you, to increase your google rank?

Best wishes, Helen :).

How are you marketing your services? Solely online??

To be honest I do not think many would search for these services online so you need to be sending out marketing literature explaining what you do and including your website address. Potential customers will then visit your website which as others have said looks good.

Maybe try and get a few testimonials from your impressive client base and add them to your "Our Customers" page, include them in your marketing literature.

I definitely wouldn't be expecting to get much business from online hits and would only be using the website to back up other forms of marketing.

Good luck.

Hi,

I like the site, it certainly conveys a professional image.

Something to note however, is that your page footer is slightly out of line with the main body of the page.

You can see this in the printscreen I have posted below:

Yep you have a problem with the footer in IE, FF3 is fine although you have spacing issues with the main page content in FF3.

Hi,

Overall it looks good, but I think the left bar needs some organising.

It starts with what you do
then there's some products for sale (special offers)
then info about your customers
then some forms
then some pictures of sites (gallery)
then the next 5 are products again
then the next one is some more pictures, (presumably of a customer site, there is no explanitory text)
then you have the next 11 all called 'site inspection', some of which have pictures, some are 'under construction'
then some more stuff

So you might want to

a) group all the products together (preferably with a section heading of 'products' to differentiate from the other items)
b) group all the pictures together
c) if this is a live site, ditch the links to pages under construction until they're constructed
d) put some text on the pictures pages to explain what the pictures are of, even just one line that says 'these are pictures of customer X's site'

Also, the home button was hard to find (it's very small and not called 'home' for a start!), and the home button link is incorrect although it does actually work...

But overall looks really nice - Hope that helps!

John

Ah yes, that was my preious comment about the home page (but I couldn't post the link at the time as the forum wouldn't let me until I'd made 15 posts...) - I hadn't realised all the links were like that!

thank you for all your responses

as this web site is part of a template i can only may some changes

all of the links do look like this( see post above ) again some think to do with template

as to marketing this website is our only form of advertising when a customer books a job with us it is for a minim 12 month contract and most of the time we are fully booked summer and winter so we don't have a paid program for advertising

the website it self only gets 1 or 2 hits a day with 1 to 2 call per month but that is usually a contract to bid for and is good business for us as a contract can be worth many thousands

we do however try the free (list my site) websites and we have also tried yell.com and amounted to very little

Great looking website

One tip give people ownership when they visit the website with good tiles and inviting headings.

i.e "Wouldn't it be refreshing, to see a lush green lawn, each time you look out your window."

Remember design entices, quality content engages which in turn leads to potential customers.

Effective content is the most important asset of any website.

It's your words that will draw visitors into your site and lead them to the response you're looking for.
