Hi there

I am working as the HR and Training manager for a new training provider based in Hull. I am looking for ideas on how to reach the right clients and our budget is not extensive!!

Our training covers
- employment law
- stress in the workplace
- disciplinary and grievance
- time managment
- project management
- absence management
plus lots of other staff development/managament areas
Plus we also cover social care courses such as
- food hygiene
- first aid
- moving and handling
- management of abuse issues
- health and safety
plus many others

If anyone is interested in seeing our brochure, please reply on this thread. I would also be very very grateful for any marketing ideas

Thanks

Kerry

Hi Kerry,

I am from hull and been in business since 2003. At first we found it hard going to get customers but we have found going to network meeting and getting your companies name out is the best form of marketing. Some of the networking meeting we go to are:

East Riding Business Network (ERBN) (http://www.erbn.co.uk/)- Tickton Grange (near Beverley)
Business International Network (BNI) (http://www.bni.com/) - 4 groups in Hull all meet 7am and finish at 830am (Tue/Wed/Thur/Fri) each one is in a different location and has different members but only 1 person from each trade is allowed.
Hull Chamber of Commerce (http://www.hull-humber-chamber.co.uk/)

Hope these help
Dave

Hi Kerry,

Have you tried direct marketing, postal mail shots (sending your brochure to targeted businesses) etc.?

We have a business database that covers Hull and surrounding areas. The database contains postal addresses, contact names and telephone numbers for companies in the Yorkshire and Humberside region (we also have UK wide regional databases).

It is categorised by industry sectors, enabling you to select your required target audience.

Let me know if you’re interested?

Kind Regards,

Katie

Hi Kerry,

Free advertising on Hullcan.com business directory is a good place to start. You get the same features for free which all of the other online directories charge for such as web link, email, business logo, google maps. We have also just launched a free forums section designed for you to advertise and network your business.

Regards,

Richard Hoggard

if you get a good website on the go it will help. Everyone checks out a website these days before they buy

Good luck
