Hi everyone,
We are just launching a network and support service for young entrepreneurs in Liverpool, and we recently set up a network in Manchester.
I am looking for young entrepreneurs who want to get involved as an Ambassadors to help us grow the network in these localities. Our aim is to inspire and inform budding and established entrepreneurs to accelerate their business success by connecting them to potential clients, partners, suppliers and friends. We run monthly events and also offer an online network.
Please let me know if you'd like to get involved. Our next events are on the 22 and 23rd July . check out our website to find out more at stridingout . co . uk
Best Wishes

As Heather is new on this forum I think it's important that I emphasise her work at Striding Out, a Community Interest Company.
Herself and her team all work on developing a network and business support for new and expanding businesses. I was one of them! And was happy to win the 2007 Big Leap Competition last year. :)
Keep up the good work. And thanks.
Heather - I would like to see more mums in business support as most is currently geared towards young single entrepreneurs! lol...I could be wrong.

Hi Heather,
I'm a entrepreneur from Israel, i have established a business for fridge magnets.
Looking to expand to the UK, do you have any suggestions how i can find a business partner / entrepreneur in the UK who is interested in this field?
Thank you,
Daniels

HI Heather
We'd like to be involved. We have a business simulation game that we are shortly putting live which I think would work quite well for the youngster that are coming to you, partic those at the early stage of "can I run a business".
We will be having a discounted "educational" rate, which is a 70% reduction on the normal rate, which I would be pleased to extend to your organisation if you think this may be of interest.
Kind regards
Sandra

I am a big fan of social enterprise and I wish Heather and all UKBF's other social entrepreneurs the very best of luck in achieving their aims. I believe that social enterprise is the future of business, with companies in the sector much better equipped at solving society's problems than traditional methods.
If you're interested, I've recently started a new blog (http://www.businesszone.co.uk/cgi-bin/item.cgi?id=185302&d=1140&h=1097&f=1096) over on BusinessZone.co.uk featuring exclusive comment from the UK's social enterprise ambassadors. First up is Daniel Heery, founder of the UK's first broadband community co-operative Cybermoor.

Donno but the phrase put me off, sounds like lots of people running around shouting about how great they are whilst achieving little, so I'm out because I ain't young but I do produce great results and that's what counts.
