Hi everyone.

We have a current order within Google checkout that has successfully been charged, however we have concerns over the authenticity of the transaction for a number of reasons.

The transaction states that AVS (address verification service) for the
order is "unavailable". Does this mean the card holders address has
not been verified? Is the address I am seeing just a delivery address
and not necessarily the registered card holder's address?

I notice when people place an order with google checkout, they have the option of providing a different shipping to billing address, and what with AVS being unavailable for this transaction, amongst other basic things is leading us to believe the transaction could be fraudulent, yet there's little help on the matter from Google themselves.

Thanks.

From my experience, AVS is generally for the UK only, anything outside the UK the address setup is different so it won't validate it.

Many people have their card registered to one address but won't it delivered to an alternative like their work or family member.

The processing system within googlecheckout is very good from our experience, but there are always contact details on the system if you worried simply get intouch with the customer and take it from there.
