I use paypal pro and it does the job okay for me in my current situation.
(The back end seems clunkily out of date)

But I am a bit of beliver in having my own contigency plans in place.

Is there a pay per use processor that I can sign up with and have in reserve in case paypal pro goes down. Even if they cost more.

2checkout has a small setup fee (about 50 bucks) but thereafter no ongoing fee. Fine as a backup.
