Oscommerce Designer question

Hi All

I am a IT guy and about to upload Oscommerce, put content on, start the seo etc but wont have a decent look

Am I right in thinking that once the site has the content etc, I can just get someone to design me a template for it?

If anyone wants to send me quotes then please do. Not worried about hosting, uploading etc as I can do that myself. Just after a radio controlled car look.

if you are using OSC, then i would recommend ou use the CRE loaded version, or (my advice), switch to zen cart, as it is far more SEO friendly. ZC is a spin off of OSC and came about as a result of a split in the core team. ZC is much better.

I can get you a nice template done for under £100 (£90 for my designer and 5 pints for me up the rugby club) :D

added, sorry I want to make clear that I am kidding, i don't do template design !

have a look at the templates that are already available - http://www.testacart.com/Templates/ shows the main players.

You can then choose to use one of them, edit/fiddle with it or go bespoke, and look at the costs.

Hi mrflumps.

I havn't used OScommerce before, but I have provided templates for Joomla and websitebaker which are similar CMS systems. I have recently completed a template for a vetrinary surgery, which was done in partnership with an IT guy who specialises in hosting/servers etc. I'd imagine this is a similar setup to what you are after so if you wanted to see examples of my template work and request a free quote let me know.
