Hi Guys and Girls,

hope your all well!

I work full time and love my job, but i keep thinking to myself that id love to start a small sideline project, just to pass the time really and test my entrepenerual skills!

now ive seen a number of dropshipping sites but not really sure if its too detached, or if its even trustworthy?

also with dropshipping im not too sure what product is most profitable?

im always open to other idea's, comeing from a strong sales and brand background im quite confident i could make a venture work, but just want to make sure i have the product, brand and strategy right first.

what do you think? id like ot see some replies just because i think it would be interesting to see peoples opinions on the matter also.

Cheers
Joel

Dropshipping is the same as other businesses, in that you need to research products to find out which would be the most profitable for you, and which dropshippers to use that are "trustworthy".

There's a lot to be said for not having any overheads (apart from your site and your hosting), and you only have to pay out when someone pays you, but the profit margins are consequently a lot less because you're well down the supply chain. And because there are a limited amount of UK companies who dropship, you are competing with others selling the same range of products.

This doesn't mean that you can't be successful, just that you have to be a little more creative than others out there.

Like I said above, you need to do your research. No one is going to give you a product or brand that's going to work, because it's probably working for them and they don't want to share.

Find a niche market, find a supplier who you can persaude to dropship who doesn't normally, and practice your SEO!

I don't understand why everyone is concentrating on dropshipping as a business idea when it is just a means of facilitating the delivery of the ordered item to the customer. The same question is asked on here every day.

What everyone is losing sight of is that selling is about finding a product that you are passionate about and want to sell and customers want to buy . Dropshipping is just a way of running that sale. The product is the key thing before the dropshipping.
