I found out recently that my grandparents both came from Leeds. Went to have a look at the the houses they were born in few weeks ago and took a look round the City. Have to say I liked it a lot.

I'm a Leeds lad too, but here's a few things that need fixing to make it as good as Sheffield.
1. The transport infrastructure is a joke
2. The parks are barely maintained - except Roundhay on which they've wasted millions
3. No decent concert venue
4. No decent swimming pool - fun pool for kids that is
5. No dog track
6. All the decent pubs are now wine bars
7. barely connects with the national cycle network
8. A hung council with no vision or drive
9. The world's worst evening paper
10. Too many students
11. Planners who seem determined to drive away any new venture
12. The leisure centres all date from the 70's - and they're too few and filthy.
13. I could go on but...............

Although I love Leeds to bits I have to agree with a lot of what Mcol said.
The recreation facilities are virtually none existent. Having said that though, the Vue cinema in The Light is the best i've ever been to.
I currently work in Roundhay but i live in Harrogate
